Welcome to Realis Gymnastics! We’re dedicated to helping children grow not only as athletes, but as confident, capable individuals. From our preschool programs to advanced training for experienced gymnasts,

we offer classes tailored for every age and skill level.


Beyond the physical benefits, our programs foster discipline, focus, perseverance, and teamwork. Whether your child is just beginning or aiming for competitive goals, Realis Gymnastics provides a safe, supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and gain confidence, both on and off the mat.

YOURI VOROBYEV

Owner, USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame Inductee

Since joining the USAG acrobatic community as a coach in 2002, Realis Gymnastics head coach and owner Vorobyev has made an indelible impact on the discipline. He coached U.S. mixed pair Arthur Davis and Shenea Booth to their first and second World Championship gold medals in 2002 and 2004, the first acro athletes to do so for the country. He most recently coached men’s pair Angel Felix and Braiden McDougall to the first World men’s pair gold medal for the U.S. in 2022. In World Cup competition, Vorobyev coached two sets of the country’s first World Cup Series title winners in mixed pair Ryan Ward and Kyley Boynton, and in men’s pair Felix and McDougall. He has coached junior and senior gymnasts to more than 60 U.S. titles since 2002 and has coached four sets of World gold medalists, six sets of World silver and bronze medalists, two sets of The World Games medalists, seven sets of World Cup gold winners, and three sets of World Cup silver and bronze medal winners. Vorobyev has been named the Acrobatic Coach of the Year six times and has also held the position of National Team coach in the discipline from 2013-19. He is married with one daughter and two grandchildren. Before immigrating to the United States, Vorobyev received a master’s degree in Gymnastics & Acrobatics from Pedagogical University of Ushinskiy in Yaroslavl.

KAMI AMEMIYA-SHOWS

Director of Recreational Program, Artistic Gymnastics Team Head Coach

With 17 years of competitive gymnastics experience, she has achieved success at the highest levels of the sport, including earning the title of Level 10 Regional Bars Champion in 2011 and 2012, qualifying to Level 10 Nationals four times, and placing 6th on floor exercise at Nationals in 2012. Her accomplishments earned her a full athletic scholarship to the University of Nebraska, where she received Academic All-Big honors while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies with double minors in Sociology and Psychology. With five years of coaching experience, she combines her extensive gymnastics background with her education and passion for working with youth, helping athletes build confidence, develop strong skills, and achieve success both in and out of the gym.

LEXI ALVARADO 

Artistic Gymnastics Team Coach

Lexi has over 12 and a half years of experience in artistic gymnastics, competing through Level 6, as well as 2 years of experience in acrobatic gymnastics at Level 8. She is majoring in Sports and Performance with a focus on Psychology, combining her athletic background with an understanding of performance and athlete development. As a coach, she has one year of experience working with artistic pre-team athletes and two years coaching artistic team gymnasts. In recognition of her talent and dedication, Lexi was selected for the Future Stars program in acrobatic gymnastics during the 2022–2023 season. Her competitive experience, coaching background, and academic studies enable her to support athletes in developing both their technical skills and confidence.
